ABOUT THE ROLE

Introduction

The Project Assistant is to assist the Project Manager of Soap Cycling on all projects under one of funded schemes.  

 Responsibilities 

  • Assist the Project Manager in managing the 4 major projects, including but not limited to: 

  • The GREEN Sustainability Conference, Upcycling Sessions, Education Outreach Sessions and the Annual Signature Event 

  • Assist in budget and financial management for the SDF Funding 

  • Communicating with government representatives 

  • Creating progress reports and present to the SDF Project Manager from time to time 

  • Engaging stakeholders across Soap Cycling in the SDF projects 

  • Assist in marketing and PR tasks

Qualifications 

  • University Graduate 

  • No prior working experience required 

  • Demonstrate ability in project management 

  • Capable of working with a multicultural team 

  • Show understanding about sustainability and recycling 

  • Government relationship management experience is a plus 

  • Non-profit funding management experience is a plus 

  • Marketing experience is a plus

Other information for your reference:

  • This funded scheme is a 2-year project starting in Feb 2019 and would be ended in Jan 2021.  

  • Depending on the performance of the candidate and business development of Soap Cycling, the candidate would be kept for working on our other programs as soon as the completion of the current funded scheme

  • 5-day working each week (may need to work on weekend or holiday as required)

  • Office location in Western District
